| Fellowship Scheme

The CGL Fellowship Scheme is set up to forge
strong links with international thought leaders, tap on the
rich experiences of policy practitioners and harness the diverse
views of academics. Its objective is to present fresh insights
on policy issues. CGL Fellows work alongside the Centre's
research, publications and programme staff and help to provide
direction for the work of the Centre.
The Centre welcomes academics, senior public
sector leaders and researchers with keen interest in the Centre's
work to apply for Fellowship positions. The length and nature
of the Fellowship would vary depending on the applicant's
area of specialty and the needs of the Centre. Applicants
may join the Centre under one of these Schemes to teach, research
or publish:
Visiting Fellowship
Scheme
Fellows in this scheme are largely international experts on
leave from their home institution with which they are affiliated.
Appointments to the Visiting Fellowship
Scheme are typically for a shorter period of up to 6 months,
during which the Visiting
Fellow will conduct research, lecture or write
on topics of relevance and interest to the Singapore Public
Service.
Fellowship Scheme
Appointments to this scheme could include in-service or retired
Singapore public service leaders as well as academics and
foreign policy practitioners. They contribute substantial
knowledge and experience on public policy, contribute to its
research development and publications and provide inputs into
the Centre's programmes. Fellows must have demonstrated significant
achievements and made considerable contributions in their
domain. Current
CGL Fellows in this scheme are working in the subject
areas of market regulation, leadership and history of the
Singapore public service.
Appointments to the Fellowship Scheme are
initially for period of up to two years and appointees may
be re-appointed depending on the Centre's needs.
Internship Programme
University students or recent graduates can join the Centre
as an intern. Interns will participate in both research and
administrative work at the Centre. The ideal candidate should
be at least in the second year of undergraduate study, or
a recent graduate (all disciplines are welcome). We are looking
for people with a passion for research in public policy, proven
writing skill and enjoy working in a team.
