Since 1991, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore, has organised the Governmentware conference annually to raise awareness on the latest IT security threats. This year’s theme, “Positive Security: Empowering Business Models of the Future”, highlights the need for all players in our infocomm ecosystem to adopt a more forward-looking paradigm in confronting IT security issues. We have traditionally perceived security as an expenditure that erodes our bottom lines and budgets. Such a paradigm needs to be reinvented to keep pace with the dynamic changes in our IT security landscape.
