Programme Category : Personal Development & Effectiveness - Innovation & Enterprise
Course Title : Ask Stupid Questions Backstage
Course Code : ASQ
Synopsis : The spirit of ASQ is perhaps best summarized by Thomas Stewart, author of Intellectual Capital and contributing editor at Fortune, in the 21 Nov 2001 issue of Business 2.0:
Often people don't speak up because they don't want to look stupid. Singapore's National Library Board, an extraordinarily innovative place...attacked this problem with a series of "Ask Stupid QuestionsTM" forums for staff members - gatherings where permission to look
ignorant was cheerfully, even enthusiastically, granted..."

In a nutshell, ASQ generates unconventional ideas for breakthrough solutions. ASQ is a four-stage process for people to ask any question in relation to a theme in a fun and spontaneous way. Using these questions as a base, participants will arrive at innovative ideas that can be further developed into projects or resolve organisational challenges. The ASQ experience incorporates a fusion of art, theatre, board games, relays, music and games.
Objective : At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

- gain first-hand experience of the ASQ process - a fusion approach to ideas generation in relation to the project group/division/organisation''s mission/goals/objectives.

- unleash creative thinking powers in a fun and uninhibited way.

- learn the art and skills of framing a "stupid" question.

- evaluate questions using the AC and CRAP models.

- use Connection Grid to generate multi-dimensional WOW! solutions in relation to a theme.

- learn how to create powerful pitches for solutions.

- learn valuable facilitation skills
Course Outline : Experience ASQ: Learn the different creativity techniques employed in each round of ASQ by going through the workshop as a participant:
